Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse 🍫🥑

End your January on a sweet note with this velvety, guilt-free dessert that's as delightful to eat as it is beneficial for your skin. Who knew indulging could be so good for you?

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (Or raw cacao powder for extra antioxidants)
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup (Adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (Or milk of your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (Optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Fresh berries or shaved dark chocolate for garnish (Optional)

Instructions: 

Prepare the Avocados: Scoop the flesh of the ripe avocados into a food processor or high-speed blender.

Add Remaining Ingredients: Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of sea salt to the avocados.

Blend Until Smooth:

  • Process all the ingredients until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  • Pause to scrape down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well combined.

Adjust Sweetness and Consistency:

  • Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness by adding more maple syrup if desired.
  • If you prefer a lighter consistency, add a little more almond milk and blend again.

Chill the Mousse:

  • Transfer the mousse into individual serving dishes or ramekins.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the mousse to set.

Serve and Enjoy: Before serving, garnish with fresh berries, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, or shaved dark chocolate for an extra touch.
